Every year many people are killed or injured while using ladders. Statistically over 50% of accidents involving ladders occur due to ineffective means of securing and where the duration of works is 30 minutes or less. Generally ladders should only be used as means of access and not as a working platform. However, the ladder restraint system has been specially developed to secure a ladder against a wall for the purposes of maintenance. Used with an operative wearing a front body attachment harness with snap hook to attach to the ladder, over stretching can be restrained.
Ladderties are manufactured from 10mm diameter Grade 316 stainless steel for fixing to brick, stone or concrete with polyester resin or similar adhesive.
Straps for use with ladderties are manufactured from webbing and come complete with cam buckle and winch hook which permits rapid attachment or removal of the strap.
• Position the ladder as usual. • The system prevents slipping at the foot of the ladder and restricts ‘jumping’ at the top to a safe minimum. • The ladder is made safe from a low level. • A Full body harness and snaphook can be used to secure the user to the ladder thus providing a fall prevention system. |
